There are 2 supporting pieces of evidence for evolution: Fossils and Antibiotic Resistance. In this video we look at the second of those, Antibiotic Resistance in bacteria. We first recap the basics about antibiotics and how they kill bacterial cells. We then explain how antibiotic resistance can arise and how strains such as MRSA are of big concern to public health. We then look at how to reduce the rates of antibiotic resistant strains emerging before tackling some past paper questions.
