Classification is the grouping of organisms based on the characteristics and structures. In this lesson, we look at how organisms are classified and the work of Carl Linnaeus before looking at how and why classification models have changed over time, including the work of Carl Woese and the three-domain system. We then look at how organisms are named using the binomial system before understanding how to read and interpret evolutionary trees.
