Learn about how characteristics are passed from one generation to the next. We start by recapping key concepts of chromosomes, genes & alleles and looking at the idea of dominant/recessive alleles, homozygous vs. heterozygous genotypes and what we mean by genotype and phenotype. We then look at how to use punnet squares to workout inheritance in the offspring. Finally, we look at the important work of Gregor Mendel and his work on pea plants.
